John F. Kennedy’s words from his speech on West Virginia’s 100th anniversary in 1963 were aptly repeated more than once at Rainelle’s Candlelight Remembrance Service held Friday, June 23, to mark the first anniversary of the flood that claimed 16 lives in Greenbrier County and 23 in West Virginia.
