Frances Josephine Winterling Hoke, 87, of Maxwelton, WV, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at home.
Born April 30, 1930, at Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Joseph and Frances Beck Winterling.
Frances, affectionately known as “Granny” to most, was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hoke; brothers, Joey Winterling and
Michael, John, and Piercy Youngbar; and a sister, Caroline Henze.
Survivors are her daughter, Carol Hamrick and husband, Charles, of Maxwelton; grandchildren, Lisa Hendrix of White Sulphur
Springs, Amber Glover and husband, Justin, of Lewisburg, WV, and Dustin Hamrick of Hinton, WV; great-grandchildren, Jessie and
McKenzie Hendrix and Colten, Emerson, and Coraline Glover; brothers, Jimmy Youngbar, Richard Youngbar and wife, Shirley, and
Kenny Youngbar; and sisters, Barbara Siem and Nancy Youngbar, all of Baltimore.
A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, June 19, 2017, at 2 PM at the Dowdy Family Cemetery, Glace, WV, with Donnie Dowdy
officiating.
