Othella Grace Legg, 82, of Dawson, WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2017, at her home with her family at her bedside.
Born September 16, 1934, at Crag, WV, she was the daughter of the late Simon Jackson and Myrtle Jane Callison Wooldridge.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a homemaker. She began playing music at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Meadow Grove Baptist Church, where she played the organ and sang alto in the choir and quartet. She also served as the church clerk, Vacation Bible School assistant, and had been the president of Meadow Grove Baptist Church ABW for many years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, William “Bill” Legg of Dawson; a son, Larry Legg (Debora); daughters, Linda Shoemaker (Lake Thomas) and Louvonne Arbuckle (Douglas); and grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Legg, Leslie Katlyn Shoemaker, and Kerri Grace Arbuckle.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Dawson with the Rev. Less Mullens officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville, WV.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Friday, May 5, at the church.
