Zella Mae Mauzy, 89, of Williamsburg, WV, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 19, 1927, at Smoot, WV, she was the daughter of William Wilson and Anna Shawver Witt.
Zella attended the Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church and was a retired cook from the Williamsburg Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tate Neel Mauzy; brother, Clarence Witt; and two sisters, Gladys Dennis and Violet Fleshman.
Survivors include her twin sons, Bill Mauzy of Lewisburg, WV, and Chuck Mauzy and wife, JoAnn, of Williamsburg; brother, Bill Witt and wife, Pam, of Sam Black Church, WV; sister, Brenda Law and husband, David, of Gretna, VA; stepbrother, Lloyd Shafer of Gretna; grandchildren, Jeffrey Mauzy and wife, Kristen, of Oak Hill, WV, and Brian Mauzy of Ricon, GA; four great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Roger Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Williamsburg.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
