I joined FFA to help raise plants and animals. I really enjoy FFA because of the people in my class. My FFA teacher has also been a great help and made my four years of high school better. I have learned many great life skills through FFA. FFA has been a great help to me and has supplied me with plenty of skills and fun times.
If I could go back in time, I would still choose FFA again.

What does FFA mean to me? That’s a good question. It means a lot to me actually. I have learned a lot in my FFA class, such as things to help with adult life, learning respect and responsibility.
I don’t think I would have learned as much as I have if it weren’t for my teacher, Sally. She helped anyone who needed help in that class and even students outside of the class. She taught me how to have respect for others and even respect for myself. FFA is my favorite class throughout my high school career just because of the teacher and how she would teach us.

FFA has helped me in many ways, it has taught me many new things.
I have had the opportunity to become a better, smarter person through the classes we have had the ability to take. The people who we have in our classes are very fun people to be around and make your day at school go by just a little quicker.
My teacher has made it an enjoyable class and has helped not only me, but plenty of other students as well. She will offer help to anyone and has done so before even if it is not school related. She has been a big support through my high school career. She has helped show me plenty of new things.
Through the FFA program I have learned to weld, build and take apart engines and take care of animals. The FFA program has helped me learn many new things and even helped add on to knowledge I have already had. If I had to redo my high school career over again, I wouldn’t change anything besides my mindset I had going into it.

I enjoy FFA because of the hands-on experience included with all the classes, learning about animals, how to weld, build things and so much more.
Tending to the animals and planting plants in the greenhouse are both hobbies I enjoy doing outside of school, so naturally I’m drawn to this class because of it. The teacher here, Mrs. Byers, is amazing and makes sure you have everything you need to know before working on big projects and important tasks.
I also love how we have our own “business” with certain jobs assigned to get us ready for real world experiences. These are all factors contributing to why I like FFA.

My name is Raelyn Palmer, and I am a senior and the secretary of the Greenbrier West FFA Chapter.
I love FFA because I have gotten to experience hands-on activities that will create opportunities for my future. FFA has taught me how to be a better person, including how to be a leader as well as a teammate. I have learned experiences such as rebuilding engines alongside arc welding projects that will follow me for the rest of my life. If I had the option to re-pick my CTE, I would forever choose FFA. I have built a lifetime of friendships along with a family.
Agriculture is a whole lot more than cows and plows.

FFA has become a huge part of my life. Starting out, I had no idea about the information I would learn on not only animals, but plants and mechanical things, as well. I’ve enjoyed the many classes based on those things over the years, and I plan to take my knowledge into the work field.
Being a part of FFA has taught me to properly care for and groom animals, how to plant effectively, how to safely use power tools and how to use a welding machine properly. I have also been granted a job as the advertiser for FFA’s simulated workplace. I have gained an incredible amount of knowledge and real-world experience while being a part of FFA, and I plan to use that to further my future career in the veterinary field.
FFA is an important part of my life, so why not base a future on it?
