You may have seen the Robert C. Byrd Clinic (RCBC) team wearing blue jeans on Fridays, but did you know they are doing so for a good cause?
“Denim Day” is a fundraiser where the RCBC team has the chance to break their dress code policy if they donate $2 to a local charity each Friday.
Every year, the staff votes to decide which charity receives these funds. Over the next few weeks, RCBC will be meeting with many of these local organizations who do so much for those in need.
Children’s Home Society is one of the charities selected to receive “Denim Day” donations. They are a nonprofit, child welfare agency whose mission focuses on strengthening and preserving families. They provide programs like emergency shelter, foster care, adoption and much more.
Jennifer Lilly, a representative of the Children’s Home Society of Lewisburg, stopped by the RCBC on Jan. 24 to pick up the team’s donation. Robert C. Byrd Clinic thanks this organization for their tireless work in the community, and they are excited to be able to help in any way they can.
