Each year the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International provides a $300 scholarship to a young woman from Greenbrier County who is pursuing a degree in education.
This year’s recipient is Crystal Dixon, a student at New River Community and Technical College, who is pursuing a degree in early childhood education. The purpose of the organization is to promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. Alpha Gamma Chapter members are educators from Greenbrier, Monroe and Pocahontas counties.
