QUINWOOD (WVDN) – An early-morning ATV crash has left on person dead.
According to a press release from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, at 3:20 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, the sheriff’s office was dispatched by the Greenbrier County 911 Center to a motor vehicle accident involving an ATV on Russellville Road in the Quinwood area of Greenbrier County.
Upon dispatch, sheriff’s deputies were advised a passerby located an ATV over the hill with one male patient that was unresponsive. Upon arrival of EMS the male was pronounced deceased on scene.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Team was called out to investigate and reconstruct the crash. The sheriff’s office says that at this time there is no suspected foul play.
Responding with the sheriff’s office was the Quinwood Fire Department and White Sulphur Springs EMS. The name of the victim is being withheld until a notification can be made to family. Cpl. M.T. Doss of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigating officer of this incident.
