HILLSBORO (WVDN) – High Rocks Educational Corporation is partnering with Grow Appalachia to offer free resources and support for local gardeners.
The dates for this series are:
• Garden planning, Jan. 31 at the McClintic Library in Marlinton;
• Garden planting, Feb. 28 at Ruby Grow Farm, across from the post office in Hillsboro;
• Garden maintenance, March 28 at Ruby Grow Farm;
• Heart-healthy cooking and food preservation, April 25 at the Hillsboro Public Library; and
• Season extension, May 30 at Ruby Grow Farm.
Participants are required to submit a soil sample, keep harvest records and attend the workshop series.
You will receive seeds, tomato and pepper starts, tools, irrigation and season extension supplies and technical assistance and resources.
The first workshop is scheduled for Jan. 31.
