Dale Andrew Arbaugh, 66, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at the VA Medical Center in Beckley, WV.

Born December 4, 1949, at Fort Spring, WV, he was the son of James Owen Arbaugh and Faye Bostic Arbaugh.

Dale was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired after 30 years as a newspaper carrier with The West Virginia Daily News.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dessie Loudermilk Arbaugh; brother, Jack Arbaugh; and sister, Joyce Bostic.

Those left to cherish Dale’s memory are his companion, Marlene Sue Scott; three sons, Andrew Jackson Arbaugh and companion, Teresa Dixon, of Concord, NC, Joseph Michael Arbaugh and wife, Rachel, of Smoot, WV, and James Matthew Arbaugh and companion, Amanda Tope, of Ronceverte; stepdaughter, Heather Felts and husband, David, of Smoot; grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Seth, Lane, Noah, Morgan, Abby, Alyssa, Dessie, Emma, Railee, Braydon, and Alex; two brothers, Johnny and Sammy; and three sisters, Janice, Carol, and Sharon.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with Pastor Donnie Weikle officiating.

Family members are to gather at 12 PM, one hour prior to receiving friends from 1 PM until time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
