In addition to her parents, Clarice was preceded in death by her first husband, William Lee Whanger; second husband, Harry Cline Barker; one son, Stephen Doss Whanger; three brothers, Madison Boyd Wylie, Jr., Ned Wilburn Wylie, and Sonne Charles Wylie; and one sister, Marguerite Jane Wylie Booska. She is also preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Osborne; and one brother-in-law, Denver Barker.

Clarice is survived by her loving children: stepson, William Lee Whanger, II (Norma) of Lewisburg, WV; Larry Boyd Whanger (Susan) of Matthews, NC; Cherie W. Davenport of Bridgeport, WV; Kerry Lane Whanger (Tina) of Lewisburg, WV; and Brian Shane Whanger of White Sulphur Springs, WV.

She is survived by 19 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
