Elizabeth O’Dell Arbaugh Fullen, 90, formerly of Asbury, WV, later of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, in her residence at The Seasons in Lewisburg.
She was born October 24, 1925, in Williamsburg, WV, to Clyde H. O’Dell and Francis F. Toothman.
Elizabeth retired from the WV Department of Transportation, District 9, in 1988 as the construction department secretary after 28-1/2 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Julian Ray Arbaugh; her second husband, Harry Forrest Fullen; and brothers, Lawrence O’Dell and John O’Dell.
Survivors include her sons, Julian Ray Arbaugh and wife, Brenda, of Bragg, WV, and Stanley O. Fullen and wife, Marsi, of Russell, KY; stepdaughter, Carol Jean Kirby of Lexington, VA; granddaughter, Meigon Arbaugh of Bragg; grandsons, Julian Arbaugh of Asbury, William Fullen and Jonathan Fullen, both of Louisville, KY, and David Kirby of Lexington; and a sister-in-law, Myrtle O’Dell (John O’Dell’s wife) of Dunbar, WV.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of The Seasons, caregiver Hilda Perry of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and the workers from the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV, for their loving care.
In keeping with their mother’s wishes, there will be a graveside service on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 11 AM at the Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Sammy Groves officiating.
There will be no visitation.
