Melissa Dale Deichert, 60, of Neola, WV, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at her home.
Born February 28, 1956, at Neola, she was a daughter of Faye Hull VanBuren and John Dale VanBuren.
She was a retired cook, having worked in restaurants in Ohio. Melissa was of the Protestant faith and attended Greenbrier East High School in Fairlea, WV. She was an avid reader and loved to work in the yard tending her flower gardens.
Preceding her in death, other than her father, were her husband, Allen Deichert; granddaughter, Mariah Christin Deichert in 2007; and a son, Adam Deichert.
Survivors, other than her mother, include one son, Troy Deichert of Northfield, OH; one grandson, Aden Deichert; brothers, Richard VanBuren (Audrey) of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Glen VanBuren (Erica) and John VanBuren, all of Neola; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 11 AM in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Bobby McClintic officiating. Burial will be at the Watts Cemetery in Neola at a later date.
Visitation will be from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the White Sulphur Springs Emergency Fund, 589 Main Street West, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986, in memory of Melissa Deichert.
