Nathaniel B. Leftwich, 91, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2014, with his loving family at his side.
Mr. Leftwich was born August 20, 1923, in Charlottesville, VA, and was the son of the late Boaz and Rosa Belle Ross Leftwich.
He was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs and attended Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Lewisburg, WV. He was retired from The Greenbrier hotel, was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, and a former member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Cooley Leftwich; daughters, Yvonne Jones (Dallas) of White Sulphur Springs, Shelia Leftwich of Marietta, GA, and Pamela Gibson (Noddie) of Marietta; son, Bruce Leftwich (Patricia) of Moneta, VA; nephew/son, Van Cooley Jr. (Carrie) of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Brandon Jones (Megan), Christina Leftwich-Fitzgerald, Aaron Jones (Brandi), Kimberly Leftwich, Shayla Jones, Dawn Paige (Jay), Adam Gibson, and Chelsea Owens; and great-grandchildren, Alden Jones and Cayden Gibson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 2 PM at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Lewisburg with the Rev. Ronald Sherrod officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg at the Garden of Gethsemane Mausoleum.
The family will receive their relatives and friends from 1 PM until time of services on Saturday at the church.
Family members serving as pallbearers are Bruce Leftwich, Dallas Jones, Noddie Gibson, Brandon Jones, Aaron Jones, Adam Gibson, and Van Cooley Jr.
