Christopher Lee Gayhardt Sr., 54, of Second Creek, WV, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 10, 1960, in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of Mary Ruth Krieg Gayhardt of Maryland and the late Elmer Charles Gayhardt.
Mr. Gayhardt was a self-employed construction contractor.
He is survived by his companion, Marilyn Darlene Woodward of Second Creek; four sons, Christopher Lee Gayhardt Jr. of Grasonville, MD, Daryl Anthony Gayhardt of Silver Spring, MD, Nicholas Randolph Gayhardt of Frederick, MD, and Bryce Christian Gayhardt of Severna Park, MD; grandchildren, Ali Marie Gayhardt, Payton Jane Gayhardt, Carsyn Gayhardt, and Addisyn Gayhardt; two sisters, Darlene Tang of Pennsylvania and Terry Gayhardt of Ellicott City, MD; and two brothers, Michael Gayhardt of New Hampshire and Charles “Chuck” Gayhardt of Brooklyn, MD.
In keeping with Mr. Gayhardt’s wishes, the body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Baltimore.
