Harry Edward Lemons, 86, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at The Brier Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Ronceverte, WV, following a long illness.

Born June 3, 1928, at Asbury, WV, he was the son of the late Cecil Grover Lemons and Mary Cleo Anderson Lemons.

Mr. Lemons was a farmer and was retired from Appalachian Electronic Instruments. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairlea, WV.

He enjoyed hunting, playing fiddle and mandolin, and listening to bluegrass and southern gospel music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Ruth Lemons; and a brother, Calvin Cecil Lemons.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Belle Browning Lemons at The Brier in Ronceverte; sister-in-law, Delphia Virginia Bennett Lemons of Asbury; nephew, Edward Lee Lemons and wife, Karen, of Asbury; niece, Sharon Lemons Moody and husband, Bobby, of Lewisburg; four grandnephews, Lloyd C. “Bo” Franks and wife, Cyndi, of Ronceverte, James Matthew “Matt” Lemons of Morgantown, WV, Mark Edward Lemons of Morgantown, and Derrick Cecil Davis of Lewisburg; and several cousins.

Services will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014, at 2 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Ron Miller officiating.

Burial will follow at Asbury Methodist Cemetery in Asbury.

Friends may call one hour prior to services on Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Asbury Methodist Church Fund, c/o Mary Jane Harvey, 10192 Alta Drive, Asbury, WV 24916.

Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
