Ernest Edward “Hank” Blankenship, 82, of Lincolnton, NC, formerly of Renick, WV, died Sunday, September 7, 2014.
Born November 10, 1931, in Greenbrier County, WV, he was the son of the late Luther Marion and Rosa May Zimmerman Blankenship.
Hank worked most of his life as a farm equipment mechanic, having worked for Miller Equipment and Bluestone Farms and retired as a crane mechanic in northern Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Harrah; and a sister, Miriam Jameson.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Blankenship of Lincolnton; son, Jeff Blankenship and wife, Debbie, of Renick; daughters, Cindy Hager and husband, Donald, of Crouse, NC, and Carlene Edwards and husband, Vincent, of Oak Park, CA; seven grandchildren, Chelsea Blankenship, Olivia Hager, Garret Hager, Audra Hager, Tyler Edwards, Valerie Edwards, and Cassie Edwards; sisters,
Pearl Hollon of Middletown, OH, and Rosemary Wolfe of Franklin, OH; and a brother, Walter Blankenship of Frankford, WV.
The visitation is scheduled for 10 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, followed by Graveside services at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens at 11 AM.
Hank was a loving father, husband, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
