Ruth Rebecca Church O’Brien, 92, of Ronceverte, WV, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014, after three years of declining health.
She was born September 9, 1921, to Thomas and Alice Church and was preceded in death by her husband, John L. O’Brien Jr. of Ronceverte.
Ruth was a faithful Christian and a member of the Lewisburg Church of Christ.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Salman (Howard), of Ronceverte, Elizabeth Ann of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Tom O’Brien (Carolyn) of Greensboro, NC; brother, Clifford Church (Ethelene) of Fairlea, WV; sister, Doris Campbell of Ft. Lauderdale, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are sister-inlaw and brother-in-law Geraldine and Charlie Shaver of Union, WV, and sister-in-law Nancy Church of Fort Spring, WV.
Visitation will be from 7-9 PM on Sunday, August 31, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Monday, September 1, at the Lewisburg Church of Christ with Adam Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte.
