Carolyn J. Ramsey Shortridge, 68, of Frankford, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Greenbrier Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Fairlea, WV.

Mrs. Shortridge was born August 23, 1945, in Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Guy FrederickRamsey and Susie Ellen Mace Wade.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Frankford United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Laurie E. Legg Hedrick and husband, Gary, of Williamsburg, WV, and Crystal Shortridge Mann and husband, Robert, of Hurdle Mills, NC; sons, Andy Legg and wife, Michelle, of Texas and Ghaile Shortridge Jr. and companion, Duane Wood, of Renick, WV; stepdaughters, Daphne Shortridge of Frankford and Jennifer Brown of Frankford; grandchildren, Douglas Hedrick, Megan Hedrick, Jessica Darlington, Amber Mann, Dyllan Mann, Cheyenne Mann, Braden Mann, Seth Legg, Abby Legg, Kylie Legg, Matt Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Colton Taylor, Logan Taylor, and Hannah Brown; seven greatgrandchildren; sisters, Mary Sue Judy and husband, Rusty, of Williamsburg, Joann Arthur of Altavista, VA, and Rebecca Ramsey of Lewisburg, WV;

and brothers, Roger Ramsey of Fairlea, Frederick Ramsey of Colora, MD, David Ramsey and wife, Debra, of Renick, Ricky Ramsey of Covington, VA, and Kenneth Ramsey of Charleston, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 11 AM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Phil Hickman officiating. Interment will follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, May 16, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Lewisburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Greenbrier Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Activities Fund, RR2, Box 159A, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
