Carlos M. Alderman, 87, of Fairlea, WV, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Greenbrier Manor Nursing Home in Fairlea after an extended illness.
Born March 7, 1927, at Cass, WV, he was the son the late Andrew and Annie Kern Alderman.
Mr. Alderman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairlea, was a Navy veteran of World War II, drove a taxi, home nursed for many years, and was custodian at his church.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Ida Garrett, Ginny Cerosky, and Francis Whitmen; and a brother, Charles G. Alderman.
He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Alderman, and daughter, Carla Jill Alderman, both of Fairlea; and sisters, Lindsey Cole of Marietta, OH, Leaha Fuller of Lancaster, CA, and Shelbey Whitson of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 2014, at 2 PM at the McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with the Rev. Joe Hutchinson officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
McCraw Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
