MCALLISTER
Edward “Ed” Franklin McAllister, 86, of White Sulphur Springs, WV passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Lewis Gale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor, VA.
Born September 6, 1934 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of the late Edward Cline and Sylvia Louise Bostic McAllister. Ed loved going to flea markets, yard sales, and “Antiquing” with his buddies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years, Sadie June Mentz McAllister, and a brother, Frederick Vincent McAllister.
Survivors are one son, David McAllister (Cindy) of New Castle, VA; daughters, Andrea Pearson of Sandston, VA, Denise Clere (Wesley) of Rockwell, NC, Julia Willey of Rupert, WV, and Susie Hylton (Roger) of Salem, VA; sister, Sylvia Ardena McKinney (Sam) of Pasadena, MD; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; and his antiquing friends, Johnny Feury, Roger Patterson, and Goose Humphreys.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg, WV with Rev. Don Brown officiating. A walk-through visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV.
We will be following COVID-19 guidelines and require all guests wear a mask and be mindful of social distancing.
