The following meetings are scheduled for this week:

The city of Lewisburg city council will meet in regular session on Tuesday, January 19, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic, if interested in attending the Zoom meeting, call Lewisburg City Hall at 304-645-2080 for login information. Items on the agenda include: consider and act on the planning commission petition to amend the zoning ordinance by rewriting the planned unit development portion of the zoning ordinance by, among other things, changing allowed uses and densities, public hearing; ordinance 290, amend the zoning ordinance by rewriting the planned unit development portion of the zoning ordinance, by among other things, changing allowed uses and densities; communications from city manager and more.

The Greenbrier County Airport Authority will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 19, at 2 p.m. The meeting will be held by teleconference only due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Items on the agenda include: financial reports – Richard Ross CPA Richmond & Company, CPA & Martha Livesay CFO; CARES Act– Grant draw report review; bank account balances review – bills paid November and December 2020; Parrish & Partners – Jon McCalmont project update, airfield signage update (FAA Approved); grant applications status and approval 2021 update, review of designs for entrance sign; airport directors report: update fuel and passenger sales, rental car service status update,winter drill and preparation for snow, tower management, restaurant operations; personnel and more.

The Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation will hold a board of directors meeting on Thursday, January 21, at 3 p.m. at the Rahall Technology Building and via Zoom. Items on the agenda include: EDA Resolution #11; Ahmad Associates: Presentation of Audit FY 2018 and 2019 and MD&A and discussion with Brandy Whittington of Mathena and Co. CPAs; audit committee appointments/reaffirmation; update on hiring of executive director; Monroe County Commission representative; MACE research site in Pocahontas County and more.

The Greenbrier Public Service District No. 1 will meet on Friday, January 22, at the district office on 9035 Seneca Trail South in Fairlea at 7 a.m. Items on the agenda include: financial report, field report, engineering report, Rolling Hills and Brush Road extension projects (payment resolutions and construction fund; other project related business brought before the board); election of officers for 2021 calendar year and more.
