PATTERSON
Gertrude Patterson, 97, of White Sulphur Springs went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Brier Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.
Mrs. Patterson was born on Alleghany Mountain on February 9, 1923 to the late Luddie and Susie Boggs Lockhart.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Patterson; an infant daughter, Roberta Sue; siblings, Walter Lockhart, Lottie Tignor, Una Tignor, and Anna Neal; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was a longtime member of The White Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and loved going to church as well as spending time with her family.
Survivors include daughter, Cynthia “Cyndi” Alderman and husband David; granddaughter, Christine “Lilly” Scott and fiancé David Wilhelm; nieces and nephews, Betty Wilson, Eugene Tignor and wife Janice, Frankie Shawver, Ardella Baxley, Barbara Cooper, and Mike Goodard and wife Peggy.
A graveside service will be Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Randy Gilliam officiating.
There will be no visistation.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Brier for all of their good care.
