The national weather service’s winter weather advisory remains in effect until Saturday, Dec. 24, at 7 a.m., and a wind chill warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday.
For the Wind Chill Warning, dangerously cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 30 below zero. For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Temperatures will fall quickly leading to a flash freeze of liquid on the ground as well.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Strong winds could cause tree damage. The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
