RONCEVERTE (WVDN) – Ronceverte businesses and organizations are coming together to offer visitors to The River City a chance to enjoy everything the city has to offer.

Local businesses and organizations are getting ready to open for the annual Ronceverte Holiday Open House happening Dec. 9 from 5-9 p.m. Don’t miss the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony happening at 6 p.m. with carols sung on the train depot steps from 6-6:30 p.m.
“The Ronceverte Holiday Open House is a time for the city to show everyone all of the exciting businesses that are open and getting ready to open as part of our revitalization,” says Ronceverte Mayor Deena Pack.

Kids are in for a special treat this year. With all the businesses opened, kids have a chance to take part in the planned scavenger hunt. Get all the stamps from the participating businesses, and you can enter for a drawing at the Clifford Community Center, where there will be vendors selling the perfect gifts for your holiday needs.

Don’t worry, because adults will get a chance to win a drawing as well! Enter your name into a drawing at the community center and you can win a special gift basket filled with goods donated by local businesses.

Make sure you stop by Ronceverte City Hall and get your picture taken with Santa from 5-9 p.m. You can also take carriage rides, sponsored by Cornerstone IGA, and take in the full majesty of the anticipated community event.

“All of the community organizations and local businesses have been busy getting ready to welcome everyone to this year’s open house and it is so amazing to see,” says Pack. “Ronceverte is on the rise, and we are so thrilled to welcome everyone down to The River City to show off all of the great things happening.”
