LEWISBURG (WVDN) -Every year in agriculture education, students will participate in a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). Students are to keep track of records, experiences and any expenses or income they may have during this project.
Students who have an outstanding SAE project have the opportunity to apply for their state FFA degree. The FFA sate degree is the highest degree in each state. This degree demonstrates the student has put an exceptional amount of time into their SAE, community and local chapter. It is awarded after receiving the Greenhand and chapter degrees. This degree is represented by a golden charm which demonstrates student’s accomplishments.
This year’s Greenbrier East High School recipients of the West Virginia FFA state degree are Jagger McNeely, Makayla Walton, Luke Fogus, Emma Helmick, Olivia Simms, Anthony Wylie, Kiersten Baker, and Mason Kincaid.
FFA advisors Emily Dunkle and Shelby Adkins are incredibly proud of these individuals and encourage them to work toward a new and higher goal in the FFA and offer congratulations to all.
