GREENBRIER COUNTY (WVDN) – Several local college and university students have received academic honors and degrees from across the U.S. They include:
Zachary Ramsey of Caldwell, who graduated from Coastal Carolina University during its spring commencement ceremonies, held May 6-7. Ramsey is a marine science major. Ramsey was also named to the president’s list for having achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the spring semester.
Garrett Vaughan of Caldwell was named to the dean’s honor roll at Oklahoma State University. Full-time undergraduate students who completed 12 or more hours with a grade point average of 3.50 or higher with no grade below a C made the list.
Baylee Christian of Lewisburg was named to the dean’s list at West Virginia University for the spring 2022 semester. Baylee is a junior majoring in human nutrition and foods. Students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours or more of graded courses to be eligible for such recognition with no grades of I (incomplete), NR (not reported), or W (withdrawal).
Ohio University College of Arts and Sciences student Charlie Tolson of Lewisburg has been named to the spring 2022 dean’s list. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester with a schedule of classes totaling at least 15 hours, 12 of which were taken for letter grades, to achieve this distinction.
Ohio University College of Fine Arts student Blaine Yates from Frankford was also named to the spring 2022 dean’s list.
