The Rupert Area Improvement Council (RAIC) will be holding a Spring Fling on May 13, 14, and 15 in the town of Rupert.
A talent show and crowning of little Mister and Miss Spring Fling will be held on Friday, May 13, in the Rupert Elementary School gym beginning at 7 p.m. (registration is required).
Saturday will start the day with a parade at 10 a.m. honoring the town’s emergency responders and personnel.
An arts and crafts show will open following the parade (contact Sandi Davison at 304-392-5502 or e-mail sdavison@wvcoal.com for registration information), and there is an opportunity to join in an inside flea market (registration required). Other planned activities include a pretty baby contest (registration required), games, inside and outside activities for adults and children, food vendors, a cake auction, face painting, and the ticket drawing for a chance at a $500 gift certificate to Park Sporting Goods and/or local hand-made quilt, plus many other prizes.
A lunch of hot dogs and barbecue will be available on Saturday, and a baked steak dinner will be held on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until they ran out of fool. Food will be available to eat-in or take-out.
All proceeds go to the upkeep of the Rupert Community Building (a disaster relief location). For additional information or registration forms contact Sandi Davison 304-392-5502.
