LEWISBURG (WVDN) – The official results of the Regional Social Studies Fair held on Saturday, Mar. 19, at Eastern Greenbrier Middle School have been announced by Greenbrier County Schools.
Greenbrier County was well-represented with 22 first-place projects that will now move on to the West Virginia State Social studies fair at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on April 29. Five Greenbrier County projects finished in second place in the regional competition, and three projects finished in third place.
The Social Studies Fairs provide students the opportunity to ask essential questions, recognize patterns of behavior, think critically, create solutions, predict outcomes, and draw conclusions to help them learn to solve problems. Greenbrier County Schools celebrates the following students and their outstanding achievements:
