Ronceverte – The Ronceverte Parks and Recreation Committee will meet on Jan. 18, 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
City Hall will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in Observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Trash pick-up for that day will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 18 in addition to Tuesday’s regular pick-ups, weather permitting.

Alderson – The Alderson Library is holding a Bingo Night on Thursday, Jan. 20 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the library.
City Hall will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Alderson Subway is temporarily closed as of Monday, Jan. 17 for upgrades.

Union – Customers who receive service on Mondays from Union Disposal Service may see a delay due to weather conditions on Monday, Jan. 17. According to an announcement, if pick-up does not occur on Monday, they will get it “as soon as possible.”
The WVU Extension Educational Winter Dinner Meeting will be held on Jan. 20 at the Union Senior Center, 6:30 p.m.

Lewisburg – The Lewisburg City Hall will be closed on Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Greenworks recycling will also be closed on this date.
Maverick Labs continues to offer free drive-up COVID-19 testing at the State Fair lot Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Sundays, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. They follow the same schedule as Greenbrier County Schools for closings and delays.
The Lady and the Empress one-woman show by Doris Fields AKA Lady D will take place at Carnegie Hall West Virginia on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m.

Renick – The Mountaineer Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry will be at Renick Park on Friday, Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Call 304-364-5518 for more information.

Marlinton – The Marlinton Town Office will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Garbage pick-up for that day has been moved to Tuesday, Jan.18.

Hinton – Hinton City Hall will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Summers County Health Department will also be closed on this date. They will be open the rest of the week. On Tuesday, Jan. 18 they will have Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines available for ages 5 to 11. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, they will have Pfizer vaccines for individuals over the age of 12 and Moderna vaccines for anyone over the age of 18. On Thursday, they will also have J&J for individuals over 18. To make an appointment, call 304-466-3388.

Rainelle – The Rainelle Town Hall will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

White Sulphur Springs – The White Sulphur Springs Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Weather permitting, they will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
