According to an announcement made by Jack Scott, city of Hinton mayor, the construction of the new river access ramp has been completed. This area, now called The Point, is located between the bridges at what was the Bellepoint River Access.
This project was completed thanks to the cooperation of multiple individuals and groups including the city of Hinton Public Works, Brayman Construction, the city of Hinton and the city council. Scott thanks all of those involved in his announcement of the completion. He also thanked councilman Meador who provided the design for the new sign as well as Kent Bartgis “who stayed on us to get this project completed.”
In the announcement, Scott also noted that this project was only the first of multiple river access points the City intends to develop. This is largely to help encourage rafting and floating on the rivers.
