Youth Archers Take Aim at Halloween Tournament in Asbury

ASBURY- Rosemary’s Pumpkins & Pines welcomed more than 300 people on October 17 for the Old Greenbrier Baptist Centershot Outdoor Halloween 3D Archery Tournament, bringing young archers, coaches and families together for a day of competition in the farm’s valley.

Hosted with Old Greenbrier Baptist Church’s Centershot archery program, the tournament featured elementary, middle, and high school divisions.

The outdoor course included 15 targets, with turkeys, deer, rams, a skunk, and even a possum on a tree. A final bonus shot challenged archers to aim at a coiled black snake target on a post.,

As the young archers returned, Cole asked whether they had enjoyed the course, which target was their favorite and whether they would come again. Big smiles and enthusiastic responses helped tell the story of the day.

Old Greenbrier Baptist Centershot earned first place in both the middle and high school team divisions, while Smoot Elementary took first in the elementary division. Garrett Wallington and Annie Byers, both representing Old Greenbrier Baptist, earned the tournament’s top overall boy and girl honors.
