GREENBRIER COUNTY, W.Va. (WVDN) — Greenbrier County Sheriff Bart Baker is proud to announce the graduation and certification of Deputy Greyson Hosey.
Deputy Hosey graduated from the 203rd Basic Officer’s Course at the West Virginia State Police Academy on August 21, 2026. The basic officer’s class is 16 weeks of intense law enforcement training that every law enforcement in West Virginia must complete to become a certified officer. Deputy Hosey will return to Greenbrier County and be assigned to B shift to complete a 90-day Field Training Course working under the supervision of a Field Training Officer then assigned his permanent shift.
Deputy Hosey is a Greenbrier County Native and a member of the West Virginia Army National Guard. He is very excited to continue his duty by serving the citizens and visitors of Greenbrier County.
Deputy Hosey is the son of Lieutenant Bruce Hosey (Ret.) who served with The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office for 30 years.
Sheriff Baker states that Deputy Hosey is a young man of the finest quality, who served his country with honor and distinction. Deputy Hosey will do the same for Greenbrier County and will be a huge asset for the department.
