CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVDN) — West Virginia State Parks, in cooperation with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, announces the 2026 Farm to Table Dinner series. The individual talents of our state park chefs come alive at this annual event as they create an unforgettable culinary experience by crafting sumptuous dinners with the freshest products sourced from local vendors.
Each dinner in the series will feature its own unique theme, setting, entertainment and menu. The dinner series creates a unique experience you don’t want to miss, showcasing local cuisine as well as the beauty of West Virginia’s state parks.Diners are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, available online at wvstateparks.com/programs/
“The annual Farm to Table Dinner Series brings together two of the best things our state has to offer: delicious, locally sourced food and breathtaking park settings,” said Dillard Price, Acting Director of West Virginia State Parks. “Whether you come for an evening meal or turn it into a weekend getaway, these dinners offer a unique taste of West Virginia hospitality that you truly won’t find anywhere else.”
The first dinner in the series takes place at Chief Logan State Park on Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. and features a menu of local corn chowder, a balsamic strawberry peach feta salad, country fried chicken, beef chuck roast, roasted vegetables, half runners, fried green tomatoes and squash, herb infused biscuits, and for dessert, mixed berry cobbler or an Appalachian favorite, fried pies.
A social featuring a cash bar of locally sourced beers and wines will be available starting at 6 p.m. with dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $35.
All Farm to Table dinners feature a social event, live entertainment, and a small keepsake to take home. Many areas are offering lodging packages with special rates for those wishing to stay after and enjoy the park’s amenities. - Aug. 27: Twin Falls Resort State Park
- Sept. 5: Hawks Nest State Park
- Sept. 9: Holly River State Park
- Sept. 11: Canaan Valley Resort State Park
- Sept. 25: Blackwater Falls State Park
- Sept. 26: Tygart Lake State Park
- Oct. 10: North Bend State Park
- Oct. 24: Pipestem Resort State Park – Bluestone Dining Room at McKeever Lodge
- Nov. 7: Pipestem Resort State Park – Mountain Creek Appalachian Cuisine at Mountain Creek Lodge
