Historical Landmarks Commission Set To Meet Aug. 10

LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — The Lewisburg Historic Landmarks Commission will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, in the Paul R. Cooley Council Chambers at Lewisburg City Hall, 942 Washington St. W.

The full agenda is as follows:

  1. Call to Order
  2. Nine Two Exchange, 194 Lafayette St. — Install sign
  3. Jim Shuler, 132 McClung St. — Replace porch decking
  4. Raymond Niski, 142 Lee St. — Remove tree and replace fencing
  5. Theresa Thompson, 134 Courtney Drive — Replace roof
  6. Bruce Coburn, 295 Lee St. — Install fencing, install shed and repair front porch entryway
  7. Donna Tolbert, 752 McElhenny Road — Replace deck, build addition
  8. Paul Reeves, 134 Harris St. — Install privacy fence, add gravel driveway
  9. Aaron Huffman, 898 Washington St. W. — Electrical service upgrade, build porch and stairs on existing entranceway
  10. St. James Episcopal Church, 468 Church St. — Install solar generator
  11. Approval of minutes from July 13, 2026
  12. Comments from the public
  13. Comments from commissioners
  14. Adjournment

The next scheduled meeting of the Lewisburg Historic Landmarks Commission will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2026. The deadline for completed applications is 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2026.
