Hinton – The City of Hinton is now requiring masks to enter City Hall due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.
Both City Hall and the Summers County Library are closed Monday, Sept. 6 in observance of Labor Day.
Alderson – The Alderson Library is now operating on curbside service only. They will continue to do this as long as the county remains in the red status for COVID-19 cases. Call 304-445-7221 or message the library’s Facebook page for more information.
Alderson City Hall is now requiring a mask to enter.
Ronceverte – Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the Ronceverte City Hall is closed to the public as of Sept. 3. There is a dropbox outside the front door for check payments. Cash payment may be made by knocking on the front door. Credit card payments are available by phone.
Lewisburg – As of Monday, Sept. 6, the entire Lewisburg water system remains on a boil water advisory. According to an announcement from the City, levels still did not meet requirements at 7 a.m. Monday morning. Bottled water, as well as potable water, is available at 3673 Jefferson Street North. For potable water, customers must bring their own containers. Water will be given out between 9 and 11 a.m. as well as 1 to 5 p.m.
Lewisburg City Hall is closed on Sept. 6 in observance of Labor Day.
Union – There will be a blood drive held in the Monroe County Public Library basement on Sept. 10 between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Rainelle – The Rainelle City Pool will be open for Labor Day between 1 and 6 p.m.
Marlinton – The Marlinton Town Office is closed, Monday, Sept 6 in observance of Labor Day. Garage pick for Sept. 6 is rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 7.
