Public Easter Week Services Announced for Area Catholic Services

GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – Easter week services have been announced for St. Charles Borromeo and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Churches, including St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church’s participation in the Ronceverte Ministerial Association Holy Week Services schedule.

On Good Friday at 7 p.m., the congregation of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church invites the community to a Good Friday Stations of the Cross service, led by Rev. Mr. Robert Holliday, deacon. The traditional Good Friday service of the Stations of the Cross will be at 3 p.m. at St Catherine of Siena.

The Holy Thursday Mass will be at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs at 6 p.m., as will the noon Good Friday Stations of the Cross and meditation on the Second Word of Christ be held at St. Charles Borromeo.

The Stations of the Cross will also be observed at St. Charles Borromeo at 6 p.m. The Easter Vigil Mass will be on Saturday at 8 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo, and the early Easter Day Mass will be on Sunday morning at St. Charles Borromeo at 9 a.m.

At 11 a.m., the Easter Sunday Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena in Ronceverte with special music by the Hymns and Hers, the choir at St. Catherine’s. St. Catherine of Siena is located off U.S. 219 on WV 3, behind the Ronceverte Public Library, and St. Charles Borromeo is located across from The Greenbrier Hotel’s Clinic on US 60, west of White Sulphur Springs.
