Fatal crash involving a motorcycle reported in Sutton

Sutton, WV – On June 11, 2025, at approximately 1:20 PM, Sgt D.L. Gordon responded to a Motor Vehicle Crash Involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, approximately .2 miles east of Gerald Freeman Campground on Rt15, in Braxton County West Virginia. During the investigation it was determined that a motorcycle being operated by Jeffrey Robertson, 62, of Elkview, WV, was traveling west on Route 15 near the Gerald R. Freeman campground and after traveling left of center, struck another vehicle head on. Mr. Robertson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. The operator of the vehicle that was struck was taken to the Braxton Memorial Hospital via ambulance and suffered from minor injuries. Robertson was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana at the time of the crash.
