Governor Patrick Morrisey Orders Flags at Half Staff on Memorial Day

Charleston, W.Va. (WVDN) – Governor Patrick Morrisey has ordered state and U.S. flags on all state-owned facilities throughout West Virginia to fly at half staff from dawn until noon on Monday, May 26, 2025 in remembrance of fallen service members.

Governor Morrisey also encourages citizens to display the U.S. and State of West Virginia flags at half staff from their homes from dawn until noon, unite in prayer for permanent peace beginning at 11:00 a.m., and observe the National Moment of Remembrance beginning at 3:00 p.m.
