(WVDN) – A rapidly spreading wildfire in Greenbrier County has consumed approximately 412 acres of national forest land, with firefighters working aggressively to contain the blaze known as the Whitman Fire. Approximately 70 personnel are currently battling the wildfire, utilizing four fire engines, a type three helicopter, and a bulldozer. The fire is situated between Forest Service Road 718 and Whitman Drive on Monongahela National Forest land.
