MAXWELTON W.Va. (WVDN) – The Maxwelton Ruritan Club recently awarded scholarships to deserving seniors in the area.

Gavin Cherry, Seneca Trail Christian Academy, received $1,000 for the 100th Anniversary of the State Fair of West Virginia, a new scholarship for the 2025 100th Anniversary of the State Fair.

Alyssa Carpenter, Greenbrier East High School, is the recipient of the Henry Lindsey Scholarship, and she will be attending Concord University in the fall.

Parker Hale, Greenbrier East High School, received the $1,000 Build Your Dollar Scholarship.

President Bill Zink presented the awards during the GEHS assembly on May 20.
