NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE

OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY

(WHATCOAT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH)

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after April 17, 2025, QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to the Trustees of The Redemption Center, all of their right, title and interest in and to the following piece or parcel of land in White Sulphur District of Greenbrier County, West Virginia and bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at a 1-inch iron pipe, set, situate on the eastern most right-of-way of Route 92 and the northern most right-of-way line of West Virginia S.L.S. Route 92/2. The said iron pipe bears S 56-08-35 E. 55.00 feet from centerline station 144+36.49. Thence leaving the said Route 92/2 right-of-way line and with the Route 92 right-of-way line and the chord of a curve to the left having an arc of 291.94 feet and a radius of 22,973.32 feet;

N. 33-32-10 E. 291.94 feet to a 1-inch iron pipe, set, situate on the eastern most right-of-way line of Route 92. The said iron pipe bears S 56-52-16 E. 55.00 feet from centerline station 147+27.71. Thence leaving the Route 92 right-of-way line end through the Carson W. Turner property;

S. 46-22-56 E. 316.04 feet to a 1-inch iron pipe, set, situate on the western most right-of-way line of the old Anthony Creek Road. Thence with the old Anthony Creek Road right-of-way line;

S. 28-16-21 W 290.80 feet to a 1-inch iron pipe, set, situate on the said right-of-way line and on the northern most right-of-way line of West Virginia S.L.S. Route 92/2. Thence leaving the old Anthony Creek Road right-of- way line and with the said Route 92/2 right-of-way;

N. 47-33-17 W. 341.97 feet to the point of Beginning, containing 2.15 acres, more or less, as surveyed by James A. Thompson P. S. No. 895 on August 2, 1999 and shown on a plat entitled “Plat Showing the Division of the Carson W. Turner Property” attached hereto and made a part of this description.

AND BEING the same property conveyed to Whatcoat United Methodist Church from Carson W. Turner and Bertha M. Turner, his wife, by Deed dated March 30, 2000 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Greenbrier County, West Virginia in Deed Book 461, at page 520, reference to which is hereby made.

Said Whatcoat United Methodist was declared closed effective December 4, 2024 by resolution adopted by a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual conference by the United Methodist Church.
