Charleston, W.Va. (WVDN) – On Tuesday, April 01, 2025, Sr/Tpr Lewis received a call from WVSP South Charleston Communications Center in reference to an Assault which already occurred at Holz Elementary School on Hampton Rd, Charleston, Kanawha County, WV. After an investigation, Sr/Tpr. Lewis was able to determine the suspect is a teacher at Holz Elementary. The suspect, Patricia Summerfield (55-year-old from Charleston, WV) grabbed the 3-year-old disabled child and drug her across the floor causing minor injuries. This incident was witnessed by two other school employees. The suspect was arrested and charged with one (1) count of Battery and Assault of a disabled child.
This investigation is still ongoing.
