A Greenbrier County woman was arrested during the early-morning hours on Saturday, April 3, as part of the county’s “Operation Spring Cleaning” initiative, a multi-agency effort that resulted in the arrests of 18 wanted fugitives.
Natachia Marie Kessler, 40, of Leslie, has been charged with petit larceny, and grand larceny in connection with an incident that occurred on March 29, 2020.
On the afternoon of March 30, 2020, deputies from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a home invasion and burglary in the Charmco area. Upon their arrival, deputies spoke with the victim of the alleged robbery, who stated she had not been home since approximately 1:00 p.m. on the previous day. When the victim returned to the residence, she discovered that “the front door had been pried open, the house was gone through and items thrown all over.”
According to the criminal complaint, the victim found a pair of women’s pants that did not belong to her in the bathroom, as well as a piece of mail addressed to “Natachia Kessler”. The victim also reported that her engagement ring and wedding band, valued at $1,900, had been taken. Other household items had been taken or destroyed, as well.
The complaint further states that members of Kessler’s family had “picked Kessler up at the above-stated residence (address of the break-in) on the night of the 30th and that she was with an unknown male”.
Subsequent to her arrest, Kessler is being held at Southern Regional Jail. Natachie Marie Kessler is not eligible for bail at this time.
