DEAN
Carol Marie Dean, age 80, passed away on March 9, 2021 in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born on October 19, 1940 in Lewisburg, WV to the late James and Virginia Harvey Sampson. Carol was of the Baptist faith.
Carol was a very loving, compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed. Carol lead a very active life; she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed working with her husband as a pastor’s wife, helping with all the activities the church had. Carol liked to play golf in a ladies winter league, gardening, and was a fantastic cook.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Larry Paul Dean of Lewisburg, WV; two sons, Gary Scott Dean and Kenneth John Dean both of West Virginia; one brother, James Sampson of Alaska; one sister, Hettie Hancock of Virginia; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
Memorial Services will be held in West Virginia and will be announced at a later date.
