RONCEVERTE W.Va. (WVDN) – On Saturday, Dec. 14, The American Heritage Music Hall will host its inaugural Youth Christmas Party. The event is free for children ages 13 and under and will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging on 110 Taylor Lane in Ronceverte.

“Each child will get a gift bag from Santa Claus,” says American Heritage Musical Hall event coordinator Kay Shafer. “We’re also going to have snack foods, and the kids will be able to write letters to Santa and drop them in a mailbox there.” In addition to a hot cocoa bar, games and prizes, there will be a special appearance by Santa and The Grinch. Each child must be accompanied by at least one parent.

For those who wish to donate new, unwrapped gifts that will brighten a local child’s Christmas this year, The American Heritage Music Hall is also hosting a toy drive. The drive will conclude just one day prior to the Youth Christmas Party. Anyone wishing to donate a gift for a child (ages 13 and under) will find donation boxes at various drop-off sites, including Dollar General in Fairlea, The Seasons on Holt Lane in Lewisburg and the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging in Ronceverte. Donation boxes will be on location until Dec. 13.

For more information on the toy drive or to RSVP to the Youth Christmas Party, please contact Thelma Pomeroy or Kay Shafer via Facebook Messenger or e-mail kayshafer554@yahoo.com.
