LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — The Lewisburg Police Department held a K-9 demonstration recently for 58 students at Lewisburg Elementary School.
Cpl. J.T. Williams, Cpl. R. Rodriguez, Ptlm. M. Blankenship, and their K-9 partner, Kora, led the event, showcasing the skills and training of police dogs. The officers engaged with students, answering questions and providing insight into K-9 operations.
In a statement about the event, department officials said, “We always enjoy spending time with the students and are very thankful for the opportunity.”
The demonstration aimed to educate students about the role of K-9 units in law enforcement while fostering a positive relationship between the police and the community.
