The city of Ronceverte passed two ordinances after public hearings with on Monday, January 6, dealing with annexation of a property and City Code.
The first annexed approximately six acres into the city. According to Mayor David Smith, the property is located behind Ronceverte Elementary School and is being brought into the city by request of the owner. In addition, parts of the road leading into the property would be annexed, allowing city police and fire to travel to homes on the property without leaving city limits.
