Myles L. Cox, Sr.
Myles L. Cox, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in his daughter’s home, at the age of 81.
Myles was a resident of White Sulphur Springs, WV, where he was born and raised. He was formerly of Chesapeake, where he and Barbara raised their family. Myles was the youngest of 13 children born to the late Charles and Martha Roger Cox. He retired after 41 years of service from the Ford Motor Company Norfolk Assembly Plant. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Cox Lang (Julian); his son, Myles L. Cox, Jr. (Mary); grandchildren, Julian (Melanie), Nathan, and Ashley (Shawn); and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Olivia, Isaiah, Josiah, and Thorin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara Anderson Cox; and great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Grace.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will receive friends following the service at a reception at the funeral home that all are invited to attend. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.
