Pocahontas Co., WV (WVDN) – The esteemed Garth Newel Classical String Trio is set to grace the Pocahontas County Opera House stage on April 13 at 7.30 p.m. This performance, featuring an ensemble celebrated for their electrifying interpretations of classical works, promises an unforgettable experience for concert-goers.

The trio, renowned for their spirited and passionate performances, are artists-in-residence at the Garth Newel Music Center—one of the country’s leading and most dynamic chamber music organizations. They program and perform over 50 concerts each year, employing a conversational and interactive approach, thus forming unique bonds with their audiences.

Known for enlivening both standard and new repertoire, the Garth Newel Trio’s unceasing dedication to their craft and distinctive interpretations set them apart in the realm of classical music.

The Opera House welcomes all audiences, offering an informal and family-friendly environment accessible to individuals with disabilities. Special accommodations can be arranged upon request. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so attendees are encouraged to secure their admission in advance.

The performance at the Opera House offers accessible admission, with tickets priced affordably at $10 for adults. Furthermore, young patrons aged 17 and below are warmly invited to partake in the performance free of charge. Tickets can be conveniently obtained through pocahontasoperahouse.org, the 4th Avenue Gallery in Marlinton, or directly at the venue on the evening of the performance.

The Pocahontas County Opera House is grateful to receive financial support from the West Virginia Division of Culture and History, with the endorsement of the West Virginia Commission on the Arts. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Pocahontas County Dramas, Fairs and Festivals, Mid-Atlantic Arts, and the Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau for their generous support. Additionally, we are grateful for the support from the greater community who have shown their love and appreciation for our performances. We appreciate all the help that we have received from these organizations and individuals.
